Alexander Nikolajewitsch Moskalenko ( Russian Александр Николаевич Москаленко ; born November 4, 1969 in Stanitsa Perejaslowskaja , Krasnodar region , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian trampoline gymnast and Olympic champion .
Moskalenko won numerous world titles in the course of his career . In 1990 he became world champion with the team and in the individual, in synchronized gymnastics he won silver. Two years later he finally won gold in all three disciplines, a success that he was able to repeat in 1999 and 2001 . In total, he was world champion 14 times and vice world champion four times. This makes him the most successful trampoline gymnast in the history of the sport.
Moskalenko originally retired in the mid-1990s, but made his comeback in 1998 after it was determined that trampoline gymnastics would be part of the Sydney 2000 Olympic program . At the games he finally won the gold medal in the individual . The following year he won the gold medal in synchronized gymnastics at the World Games . In his second Olympic participation in 2004 he won the silver medal behind Jurij Nikitin .
Shortly afterwards he ended his career.
