Alexander Petritz

Alexander Petritz (born November 14, 1965 in Rijeka , SR Croatia , Yugoslavia ) is an architect and urban planner .

He studied at the Technical University of Vienna with a focus on "strategic regional development" and "strategic urban development". Between 1991 and 2001 he was the coordinator and commissioner of the Austrian federal government for reconstruction and technical cooperation with the Yugoslav successor states ( Croatia , Bosnia-Herzegovina , Serbia , Montenegro , Kosovo ). He was involved in the development of "Regional and Urban Development Strategies" for the region. In 1994 he founded the ISEC (Institute for South East European Cooperation) and in 1999 the ISRED (Institute for Strategic Regional Development). He works as a lecturer at the Vienna University of Technology, at the universities of Sarajevo and Rijeka and at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt .
