Alexander Popov (DJ)
Alexander Popow ( Russian Александр Попов ; * 1986 in Saratow ) is a Russian DJ who mainly produces music in the fields of trance and progressive house .
biography
Already in his childhood, Alexander Popov showed a musical talent, which is why he attended a music school. At the age of 15 he came into contact with electronic dance music for the first time , which fascinated him very much. At the age of 16-17 he experimented with his first own tracks in the field of house , D 'n' B and trance .
From 2001 he played at bigger parties and in 2005 he co-hosted a radio show. Popow had his first major global success with his track Vapor Trails , which he released under the Insatiable Records label. He has been under contract with Armada Music since 2010 . Popov has already performed several times at major international events such as ASOT 600 in Madrid, ASOT 650 in Yekaterinburg or the Trancemission Open Air in Saint Petersburg . Popow belongs u. a. next to Arty to the great internationally known DJs from Russia. His works have been remixed by many world-famous DJs such as Dash Berlin , Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond . Conversely, Alexander Popov created remixes of many pieces of music by these DJs.
With Interplay, Popow has had a weekly radio show since 2014, which is published as a podcast every Thursday at 10:00 p.m.
Awards and Achievements
Alexander Popow's works receive regular attention through the radio show A State of Trance , some of the works have been declared "Tune Of The Week" by Armin van Buuren.
His singles "Multiverse", "Quantum" and "Lost Language" made it into the top three places on the Beatport charts.
In 2014 his single "Steal You Away" was nominated for the International Dance Music Awards in Miami .
