Career

Alexander Scheelen comes from Duisburg and played at Hamborn 07 in his youth . There he made the leap into the association league team at the age of 19, but after relegation in 2007 he left the club and moved to Oberhausen in the state league at Sterkrade 06/07 and after only one year together with coach Dirk Wißel on to VfB Speldorf . With the Mülheimers , he rose from the Association League to the NRW League in the first year .

For two more years he played with Speldorf in the fifth highest league, then the defensive midfielder again followed his coach, this time Peter Kunkel , who took him to the Rot-Weiß Oberhausen association league team. After the first team coach's release, Kunkel became an interim coach and had Alexander Scheelen play in the 3rd division for the first time on matchday 14 . In the end he came to fifteen third division appearances in the 2011/12 season , but rose with RWO in the regional league. Due to several knee injuries, he missed the entire 2012/13 season. In 2014, Scheelen fought his way back into the regional league squad via the second team and became a regular player.
