Alexander Simon (* 1968 ) is a German actor and director.

Life

Alexander Simon studied acting at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum before accepting his first engagement at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and opting for the theater. Engagements at the Schauspiel Hannover , the Burgtheater Vienna , the Schauspiel Frankfurt , the Schauspielhaus Zürich , the Deutsches Schauspielhaus and the Thalia Theater in Hamburg followed.

In the 2010/2011 season he directed “Romeo and Juliet” for the first time at Thalia in Gaußstraße, in cooperation with the Theater Academy Hamburg, further directing work followed (“Gegen die Wand” as a play for the film of the same name in Vienna, Garage X. , 2013) and "Drunk" by Iwan Wyrypajew in Thalia in Gaußstrasse (2013/14). He developed the role of Alfred Matzerath in Luk Perceval's "Die Blechtrommel".

He also played in the films "Don't ask for sunshine" (director: Lena Jana Krajewsky), "Marseille" (director: Angela Schanelec) and "Sonntags" (director: Ina Weisse).
