Alexandra Pavlovna Krutikova ( Russian Александра Павловна Крутикова ., Scientific transliteration Alexandra Pavlovna Krutikova , French transliteration Alexandra Pavlovna Kroutikova * 1851 in St. Petersburg , Russian Empire , †  1919 ) was a Russian opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

Krutikowa passed her exam in 1872 with Henriette Nissen-Saloman at the St. Petersburg Conservatory . She had her first public appearance in 1873 in the Mariinsky Theater . She played the role of Vanya in the opera A Life for the Tsar by Michail Glinka .

Pyotr Tchaikovsky appreciated the singer's talent and dedicated the two romances Reconciliation (op.25.1 from 1874) and Only You (op.57.6 from 1884) to her.

Alexandra Krutikowa was married to the baritone Bogomir Korsow .
