Alexandra Perina-Werz (born August 3, 1976 ; resident in Geneva and Häggenschwil ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ).

From 2013 to 2014 she was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . From 2014 to 2017 she chaired the Bern section of the CVP.

Life and politics

Perina-Werz grew up in Bolligen and later attended the Kirchenfeld high school in Bern, which she graduated with the Matura in 1996 . After completing her studies at the University Institute for International Studies and Development (IHEID) , she started her professional career as a research assistant at CVP Switzerland. Between 2005 and 2008 she was the international secretary of CVP Switzerland, from 2006 also press spokesperson for CVP Switzerland for Western Switzerland. In 2005 she completed part-time training in health policy at the University Institute for Public Administration (IDHEAP) .

In 2008 she was elected group secretary of the CVP / EPP / glp group of the Federal Assembly. After the parliamentary groups were reorganized following the parliamentary elections in 2011 , she took over the leadership of the parliamentary group secretariat of the CVP-EPP group . At the same time, she is Deputy Secretary General of CVP Switzerland. In 2009 and 2012 she led the general secretariat of CVP Switzerland on an interim basis. In 2013 she moved to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern for Daniel Kast, who had resigned.

In the summer of 2013, the CVP announced that Perina-Werz would switch to the private sector in January 2014. From 2014 to 2017 she was Head of Public Affairs at the health insurer Groupe Mutuel . Ms. Perina-Werz currently works as Head of Politics at Raiffeisen Switzerland.

Perina-Werz is a specialist in health and social issues as well as in economic and foreign policy.

Private

Perina-Werz is married and the mother of two sons (* 2011 and * 2017).
