Alexandra Robbins (* 1976 ) is an American journalist and author . She is now a New York Times bestseller (see her book Quarterlife Crisis ). She used to work for the New Yorker .

A number of different publications have appeared so far, including The New Yorker , The Washington Post , USA Today , Cosmopolitan , Chicago Tribune , Self , Salon.com , and PC . She is a regular guest on national media and television programs such as 60 Minutes , The Today Show , The Oprah Winfrey Show and a variety of networks including CNN , NPR , BBC and History .

As a successful 1998 Yale student, at which university she was affiliated with the Scroll and Key fraternity , she wrote about George W. Bush's skull and bones experiences for Atlantic Monthly, among others . She lives in the Washington area .
