Alexandre Bougault

Alexandre Bougault (born December 19, 1851 in Paris , † September 4, 1911 in Coutances , Département Manche ) was a French photographer and publisher .

Life

Bougault worked as a photographer in North Africa , Tunisia and Algeria since the 1880s . Since 1890 he published his works in his own publishing house in the French Mediterranean port of Toulon in the Var department .

The Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris keeps a number of Bougault's photographs from 1898, among other things.
