Alexandros Tziolis ( Greek Αλέξανδρος Τζιόλης ; born February 13, 1985 in Katerini ) is a Greek football player .
Career
society
Alexandros Tziolis began his career at the Greek amateur club Apollonas Litoxorou . In 2002 he moved to the Greek club Panionios Athens , where he signed his first professional contract. At Panionios, Tziolis made the leap into the regular formation straight away and knew how to convince despite his young age. For the club Tziolis came to 61 appearances in the Greek championship and scored three goals. In 2005 he moved to Panathinaikos Athens , where he stayed until January 2009 before he was awarded to the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen . On May 13, 2009, the midfielder scored his only goal for Werder in the encounter against Eintracht Frankfurt .
On January 29, 2010, AC Siena signed Tziolis. In August 2010 it was loaned to Racing Santander , and AC Siena received a loan fee of 100,000 euros. The Cantabrians were also guaranteed a purchase option.
For the second half of the 2013/14 season, Tziolis was loaned to the Turkish first division club Kayserispor .
In January 2017 he moved to Heart of Midlothian in Scotland.
After less than a year, he went to Al-Feiha FC in Saudi Arabia . There he made three goals in 54 games.
National team
Alexandros Tziolis belonged to the young generation of players who were appointed to the squad of the Greek national soccer team by Otto Rehhagel after winning the European soccer championship in 2004 . At the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland in 2008 , Tziolis came in the group stage of the tournament on a mission.
