Alexandru Mesian
Alexandru Mesian (born January 22, 1937 in Baia Mare , Romania ) is bishop of the Romanian Greek Catholic Eparchy Lugoj .
Life
Alexandru Mesian was born in 1937 in the Romanian city of Baia Mare . For priests Mesian was on 8 May 1965 at the age of 25 years, dedicated . On July 20, 1994, at the age of 57, he was initially appointed coadjutor of Lugoj , and on September 8, 1994 he was solemnly ordained as a bishop by Metropolitan Lucian Mureșan as main consecrator , in the presence of the co-consecrators, Bishops Gheorghe Guțiu and Ioan Ploscaru , was donated.
Alexandru Mesian has been enthroned Bishop of Lugoj since November 20, 1995 . Mesian took part liturgically as co-consecrator in the episcopal ordinations of Ioan Șişeştean and Mihai Frățilă .
