Alexandru Păcurar (born January 20, 1982 in Cluj-Napoca ) is a Romanian football player . The midfielder has played for Universitatea Cluj since September 2016 .

Career

Păcurar's career began at Universitatea Cluj , where he joined the first-team squad in early 2000. There he was first used in the 2003/04 season . After the end of the season he left the club and moved to Dinamo Bucharest . At Dinamo he was used in half of the games and ended the 2004/05 season as runner-up behind Steaua Bucharest . When his club won the cup , he was not used in the final. After this success he joined the league competitor Gloria Bistrița . There he established himself as a core force in midfield. During the winter break of 2006/07 , Pandurii Târgu Jiu signed him . Also on this station he always fought to stay in class. The 2009/10 season he finished with his team in 15th place, which meant relegation. Then record champions Steaua Bucharest took him under contract. There Păcurar could not prevail and returned after a few weeks to his previous club Universitatea Cluj, which had just been promoted to League 1 .

In summer 2012 he left "U Cluj" and moved to CSKA Sofia in the Bulgarian A Grupa . At ZSKA, he was only used five times before his contract was terminated at the end of 2012. He was then without a club for four years before rejoining Universitatea Cluj in early September 2016, which now played in League IV .
