Alexei Gussarov (born February 18, 1995 ) is a Kazakh medium and long-distance runner .
Athletic career
Alexei Gussarow gained his first experience at international championships in 2014, when he finished fourth in the 1,500 meter run in 3: 57.56 min at the Junior Asian Championships in Taipei and was disqualified over 800 meters in the prelim and with the Kazakh 4- times 400 meter relay came in eighth in 3: 16.02 min. In 2017 he finished eighth over 1500 meters at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar in 3: 53.14 minutes and was eliminated from the preliminary round in the 800-meter run with 1: 56.26 minutes. At the 2018 Half Marathon World Championships in Valencia he reached 129th place after 1:09:49 h and in the summer he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time, where he failed over 1500 meters but with 3: 52.43 minutes in the lead.
In the years from 2016 to 2018 Gussarow was Kazakh champion in the 1,500-meter run, as well as in the 5,000-meter run in 2016 and over 800 meters in 2018. In addition, he became indoor champion over 1500 meters in 2020.
