Escape to Nowhere is an American war film directed by Steven Spielberg when he was 14 years old. With a running time of 40 minutes, it is his third short film. It was accompanied by excerpts from Richard Wagner's Valkyries ride.

The film revolves around a battle that took place in East Africa during World War II . Some soldiers who are on their way to an unknown location are ambushed. You are now in a precarious position from which the soldiers apparently cannot escape.
Production and shooting
Several explosions are visible throughout the film. For this illusion, earth was used, which was placed on wooden boards and catapulted onto the actors.
