Reviews

  • Rita Kempley wrote in the Washington Post on December 22, 1989 that one could fall asleep while watching ( sleepy update of a Spencer Tracy wartime fantasy ). The scriptwriter has nothing to say. The film is an unfulfilled promise .

“Remake of 'A Guy Named Joe' (1943); In the shift of the melodramatic story to the present day it is not very convincing and inconsistent in its design. Perfect action scenes and a few nice examples of old-fashioned illusion cinemas ensure a certain amount of pleasure. "
