Brad Johnson (born October 24, 1959 in Tucson , Arizona ) is an American actor .

Life

Johnson grew up on a ranch and was initially active as a rodeo rider . Through the mediation of a casting agency , he became Marlboro Man for three years . In 1986 he had a first small role in an episode of the television series Dallas . In 1989 he moved to Hollywood and received a first role in a B-movie by Roger Corman . In the same year he got a supporting role in Steven Spielberg's Always - The Fire Angel of Montana on the side of Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfuss . In 1991 he played one of the lead roles in the action film Flight Through Hell by John Milius . He then signed a film deal with Paramount Pictures and starred in the sequels Philadelphia Experiment II and The Birds II .

When his film career stalled in the mid-1990s, he switched to television. He played one of the judges in the short-lived television series Courthouse , which was dismissed after just eleven episodes. He had recurring roles in 1995 as a doctor in Melrose Place and between 1997 and 1999 in The Shadow Warriors . He played guest roles in series such as Outer Limits and CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators, and in 2004 received one of the leading roles in the pilot for the remake of the series Lost in Space . However, the series was not realized. Since then he has had roles in various television films and B-productions such as Roger Corman's Supergator , in which he starred alongside Kelly McGillis .

Johnson is married with six daughters and four sons.
