Alexei Evgenjewitsch Gassilin ( Russian Алексей Евгеньевич Гасилин ; English Aleksei Gasilin ; born March 1, 1996 in Saint Petersburg ) is a Russian football player .

Career

Gassilin began his career in the youth of Zenit Saint Petersburg and made his debut in the Premier League on May 26, 2013 when he came on as a substitute for the game against Amkar Perm . For the 2015/16 season he was loaned to FC Schalke 04 , with whose second team he played in the Regionalliga West . In spring 2017, Gassilin moved to Amkar Perm.

Gassilin took part with the Russian U-17 national team in the U-17 European Championship in 2013 , where he was able to win the title with the team. At the following U-17 World Cup , he was eliminated with the team in the round of 16. With the U-19 national team , he reached the final of the U-19 European Championship in 2015 . He scored two goals and took second place on the top scorer list.
