Alexei Romanowitsch Maximtschuk ( Russian Алексей Романович Максимчук ; born July 18, 1958 in Bălți , Rajon Făleşti , Moldavian SSR ) is a Russian Vice Admiral . From 2003 to 2005 he was commander of the 7th Operational Squadron of the Northern Fleet .

Life

Maximchuk graduated from middle school in 1975 and then attended the Kaliningrad Naval War College, which he graduated with honors in 1980. In 1981 he took part in the commissioning of the flight deck cruiser Novorossiysk in Nikolajew , was deployed as the commander of a group for air defense complex control and after two years moved with the ship to the Northern Fleet. In 1983, when the ship was handed over, it was added to the Pacific fleet in Vladivostok . There he exercised the function of an anti-aircraft division commander and became chief officer on the cruiser Novorossiysk . He attended higher officer courses in the naval fleet and graduated from the Naval War Academy NG Kuznetsov . From January 1995 he became the commander of the large nuclear reconnaissance ship Ural of the Pacific Fleet. In 1997 he continued his career in the Northern Fleet as deputy chief of staff and chief of the command post of the operational squadron. He was used as commander of a landing ship brigade of the Kola flotilla of mixed forces and then as chief of staff and first deputy to the commander of the operational squadron. In December 2002 Maximchuk was appointed Rear Admiral. From December 25, 2003 to November 30, 2005 he was Commander of the 7th Operational Squadron. His promotion to Vice Admiral took place in February 2005. After the operational squadron was dissolved, he served in the fleet command of the Northern Fleet. He was released into retirement in July 2007. He then worked in the civilian sector as the authorized representative of the governor of Murmansk Oblast .

Maximchuk is the father of two daughters from his first marriage and a son from his second marriage.
