Alexei Vladimirovich Dmitrik ( Russian Алексей Владимирович Дмитрик ; born April 12, 1984 in Slanzy ) is a Russian athlete . Dmitrik specializes in high jump . Dmitrik celebrated his greatest success so far at the 2011 World Championships, where he won the silver medal.
Career
The youth world champion from 2001 started at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2007 , but could not qualify for the final there. He finished the European Athletics Championships in 2010 with a jumped height of 2.26 m in seventh place. In the 2011 athletics season, Dmitrik jumped 2.35 m at the meeting in Huelva, Spain, and thus sat at the top of the world rankings in high jump. A month later he improved his personal best in Cheboksary to 2.36 m. With skipped 2.35 m, he won the silver medal at the World Championships in Daegu .
At the European Indoor Championships in 2013 Dmitrik won the silver medal in Gothenburg.
Alexei Dmitrik is 1.85 m tall and has a competition weight of 78 kg.
