Alphonse Julen

Alphonse Julen (born February 20, 1899 in Zermatt ; † 1988 ) from Zermatt was a Swiss cross-country skier .

At the Olympic Winter Games in 1924 he was a soldier member of the Swiss team (starting number 43) in the military patrol run , which won the gold medal in this discipline . His brother Antoine Julen was also on the team . The military patrol run was subsequently declared a demonstration competition in 1926. He also took on the Olympic Winter Games in 1928 when 18-km cross-country skiing part, but had to abandon the race.
