Alfons Kirschey

Alfons Kirschey (born January 17, 1922 in Oberhausen - Osterfeld , † February 22, 1999 in Cochem - Sehl ) was a German bank manager .

life and career

After completing his training, he stayed at Stadtsparkasse Oberhausen until 1951 and then worked as an auditor at the Sparkassen- und Giroverband Düsseldorf until May 31, 1957 . On June 1, 1957, he then moved to Cochem, where he took over the chairmanship of the board of the Kreissparkasse Cochem. On January 1, 1970, he then took on the position of CEO of the Kreissparkasse Cochem-Zell. He celebrated his 40th anniversary with the company on April 1, 1979, and in 1987 he could look back on 30 years of uninterrupted activity as CEO. At the age of 65, he retired on June 30, 1987.

During his activity the Kreissparkasse developed in an exemplary way. While the balance sheet total in 1957 was still 20 million DM, this amount increased to 200 million DM after the merger with Altkreis-Zell. In 1987 the balance sheet total was 579 million DM.
