Alfred Bruehl

Alfred Brühl (born December 28, 1920 in Giesenkirchen on the Lower Rhine ; † October 4, 2010 in Altötting ) was a German painter .

Live and act

After studying painting with the rector of the Hanseatic University of Fine Arts in Hamburg, Paul Helms , Brühl switched to banking as head of the credit department. Now, free from financial pressure, he painted, drew and sketched across all genres of portraits, landscapes, architecture and portraits of children. Brühl's main field was portrait painting . He painted personalities such as Nelson Mandela , the former Federal President Johannes Rau , the Salzburg Archbishops Georg Eder and Karl Berg and the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Stern" Henri Nannen .
