Alfred Depuhl

Alfred Depuhl (born March 4, 1892 in Mannheim , † April 13, 1957 in Hanover ) was a German Protestant theologian and author .

Life

Depuhl was the son of a merchant. He attended the secondary school in Mannheim and then studied political science in Heidelberg from 1910 to 1913. He then attended the local seminary for a year and passed both theological exams in 1913 and 1914. He was ordained on May 2, 1915 in Ziegelhausen near Heidelberg . During the First World War he served as a field chaplain and hospital pastor. In 1919 he became an assistant chaplain in Münster and obtained his doctorate from the University of Münster. rer. pole. From 1920 to 1927 he was syndic of the association of metal industrialists, then the clergyman (chief executive) of the state association for internal mission in Hanover. For a time he was also in charge of the Reich Association for Protestant Old-Age and Infirmary Care. In 1933 he was a member of the 68th Provincial Parliament of the Province of Hanover for the DHP and People's Service and the Leer constituency .

Depuhl's estate is in the State Church Archives in Hanover .
