Alfred Francis Russell (born August 25, 1817 in Kentucky , † April 4, 1884 in Liberia ) was an American-Liberian politician. He was the tenth President of Liberia.

Russell immigrated to Liberia in 1833 with his mother and four siblings. He was initially a Methodist missionary and later owned a large coffee and sugar cane plantation. He worked as Vice President under Anthony William Gardiner from 1881 , took over the office of the previously ill President on January 20, 1883 and was the ruling incumbent until the new elections in 1884.
