Alfred Hartranft

Gustav Alfred Robert Hartranft (born July 1, 1847 in Böblingen ; † November 18, 1930 in Freudenstadt ) was a German local politician and member of the state parliament.

Alfred Hartranft was the son of Christoph Heinrich Hartranft (1806–1889) and Johanne Christiane Böhringer (1809–1871). He married Maria Paulina Schaible in 1880. His brother was the Sindelfingen secondary school rector and member of the state parliament, Julius Hartranft .

job

After attending the Karlsgymnasium in Heilbronn , Alfred Hartranft studied law in Tübingen from 1866 to 1871 . During his studies in 1866 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . From 1872 to 1874 he was assistant judge in Horb and Geislingen an der Steige, then from 1874 to 1876 he was judicial assessor at the Freudenstadt District Court. In 1876 he was elected city school leader of Freudenstadt, which he held for 43 years, i.e. until 1919.

politics

In 1882 Hartranft was elected to the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament as a representative of the Freudenstadt Office . He held this office until 1900.
