Alfred Ritz

Alfred Ritz (born March 10, 1914 in Voerde ; † April 12, 1982 in Bonn ) was a German brigadier general .

Life

Ritz fought during World War II a . a. as commander of the 1st Battalion of the 1st Panzer Grenadier Regiment on the Eastern Front and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on December 11, 1944 . He ended the war as a major .

On February 1, 1956, he joined the Bundeswehr . On September 30, 1971, he was retired with the rank of Brigadier General.
