Alfred von Boxberg

Alfred von Boxberg (born October 26, 1841 in Leipzig , † June 14, 1896 in Weimar ) was a German administrative lawyer and ministerial official.

Life

Alfred von Boxberg studied law at the University of Leipzig and was active in the Corps Misnia Leipzig in 1860 . He was court trainee at the Kamenz court office and assessor at the Dresden court office. In 1875, he came as Regierungsassessor to Amtshauptmannschaft Oschatz , which he as from 1882 Amtshauptmann board. On October 1, 1883, he was appointed governor to the Bautzen governorate, where he was appointed senior government councilor. Since January 1, 1892, he was a member of the Weimar State Ministry and head of the Department of Culture until June 14, 1896. He died in office at the age of 55.
