Alfredo Lobos
Alfredo Lobos Aranguiz (* 1890 in Rancagua ; † January 15, 1917 in Madrid ) was a Chilean painter .
Like his brothers Enrique and Alberto Lobos , Alfredo studied with Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor at the Escuela de Belas Artes and was one of the painters of the Generación del Trece .
In 1916 he took a trip to Spain and fell seriously ill there. He died on January 15, 1917, the eve of the opening of an exhibition of his works in the Sala el Ateneo . Several of his paintings are in the possession of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Pinacoteca of the Universidad de Concepción .
