Enrique Lobos

Enrique Lobos Aránguiz (* 1887 in Rancagua , † February 1918 in Santiago de Chile ) was a Chilean painter .

Like his brothers Alfredo and Alberto Lobos , Alfredo studied with Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor at the Escuela de Belas Artes and was one of the painters of the Generación del Trece .

In 1918 he was one of the founding members of the Sociedad Nacional de Bellas Artes . In the same year he fell ill with tuberculosis and died after a recreational stay in the northern Chilean vicuña in Santiago.

Several of his works are in the aisle of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Pinacoteca of the Universidad de Concepción .
