Algis Žvaliauskas

Algis Žvaliauskas (born December 18, 1955 in Mackiai , Prienai district ) is a Lithuanian politician, deputy minister of transport, former minister of transport of Lithuania and mayor of Marijampolė .

biography

After graduating from secondary school in 1974 in Balbieriškis , he completed a diploma in geodesy in 1979 at the Vilniaus inžinerinis statybos institutas and on May 7, 1999, he received his doctorate on transit development studies at the Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universitetas . From 1993 to 1996 he was mayor of Marijampolė and from 1996 to 2000 a member of the Seimas , from 1996 to 1998 Minister of Transport of Lithuania , from 2001 to 2003 director of the AB “ Marijampolės pieno konservai ”, from 2011 to 2014 first deputy mayor of Marijampolė. Since October 2014 he has been Vice Minister , Deputy Minister of Transport, Deputy of Rimantas Sinkevičius in the Butkevičius cabinet .

He was a member of Krikščionių konservatorių socialinė sąjunga .

He is married. With his wife Rima he has the daughters Ligita and Ieva as well as the son Donata.
