Ali Ezzine
Ali Ezzine ( Arabic علي الزين; * September 3, 1978 in Ain Taoudjad , Meknès-Tafilalet ) is a Moroccan obstacle and long-distance runner .
At the cross-country world championships he came on the short distance in 1998 on the twelfth and 2000 on the 13th place. At the World Athletics Championships in Seville in 1999 , he won the bronze medal over 3000 m obstacle.
He also won bronze in the same discipline at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney behind the Kenyans Reuben Kosgei and Wilson Boit Kipketer , and at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton he won silver.
At the 2004 Olympic Games , he finished eighth.
His best time of 8: 03.57 minutes, set in Paris on June 23, 2000 , is still the second best ever achieved by a non-Kenyan runner.
