Reuben Kosgei

Reuben Kosgei ( Reuben Seroney Kosgei ; born August 2, 1979 in Kapsabet , Nandi County ) is a Kenyan obstacle runner .

He first drew attention to himself in 1998 when he became Junior World Champion in the 3000 meter obstacle course in Annecy . At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , with a running time of 8: 21.43 min, he was the youngest gold medalist to date over a 3000 meter obstacle. At the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton , he won again. He won bronze at the 2006 Commonwealth Games .

His personal best over a 3000 meter obstacle is 7: 57.29 minutes.
