Ali Maas is a British blues , soul and rock singer and songwriter .

biography

Ali Maas began with 15 years in local rock bands in Horsham ( West Sussex to sing). She then sang in theater shows as well as jazz and blues bands in the Far East .

Back in London, she toured with the pop band Playing in Trains, but soon founded her own rock band, First Blue. She wrote the group's songs together with Sean Anderson, a nephew of Jon Anderson , the front man of the band Yes .

Ali Maas founded the rock band McQueen with Mike Dignam. At this time she also met the Russian rock band Mumi Troll ; She can be heard as a background singer on some of the group's albums.

After McQueen broke up, Ali performed intermittently with blues musician Papa George . Her performance at the Ealing Blues Festival 2013 was enthusiastically received. Alan Glen also belongs to her Ali Maas Band , who became known among others with Nine Below Zero and the Yardbirds .

Ali Maas has been working with former Whitesnake guitarist Micky Moody since 2014 . In 2016 their joint album Black & Chrome was released .
