The Ali Shan ( Chinese 阿里山 ; in Australia Three Man Peak , English for 'three-man peak') is a 133 m high and rocky hill on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . He stands out in the song Promontory in the Larsemann Hills . Its summit is dominated by a rock cone.
Scientists from Taiwan made its measurement and naming in 1993. It is named after a mountain of the same name in Taiwan. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it, however, after the three-person team that had determined its position here in 1987 using Doppler satellites .
