The song Promontory is a promontory on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . In the Larsemann Hills it forms the western part of the Broknes peninsula .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after Niels Lied, a radio operator at Davis Station in 1957, who was part of the crew that first landed in an airplane in the Larsemann Hills on August 12, 1957.
