Alice Merryweather (born October 5, 1996 in Hingham , Massachusetts ) is an American ski racer . She specializes in the downhill and Super-G disciplines.

biography

Alice Merryweather learned to ski on the slopes of Attitash Mountain at the age of four. Her love for alpine skiing then led her to join the Attitash Race Team at Stratton Mountain School. There she developed further and finally took part in the Alpine Ski Junior World Championships in 2014 and 2015 . In 2014 she reached third place in the slalom in the U18 classification. She also achieved her first podium finishes in the alpine Nor-Am Cup in the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons . In the current 2016/2017 season , as of February 16, 2016, it is in very promising places in both the Downhill and Super-G (1st and 3rd place).

Merryweather made her debut in the World Cup on January 9, 2016 in the downhill from Garmisch-Partenkirchen . She won the gold medal in the downhill at the 2017 Junior World Championships in Åre . In the Nor-Am Cup of the 2016/17 season , she won the downhill classification.
