The Alice River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Queensland . It is located in the Far North Queensland region .

River course

The river has its source at Imooya , around 215 kilometers west of Cooktown . It flows to the west and flows into the Mitchell River at the western end of the Mitchell-Alice Rivers National Park , the northern border of which it forms .
