Alicia Elizabeth Hurley (* 1988 in Ottawa ) is a Canadian biathlete .

Alicia Hurley lives in Camrose . She started biathlon in 1999 and starts for Camrose Ski Club and the Augustana Vikings . Hurley studied physical education at the University of Alberta's Camrose campus , where she was also an active athlete until 2009 when she was coached by Jacqueline Akerman . In 2006 she was named Ottawa's Biathlete of the Year. She started at the North America Championships in the 2008 Summer Biathlon in Canmore , where she was ninth of the individual, tenth of the sprint and eleventh of the pursuit. In the overall ranking of the Biathlon-NorAm-Cup 2008/09 , she was sixth, but without being able to achieve a podium. The high point of the season was the North American Biathlon Championships 2009 in Valcartier . Hurley finished 14th in the individual sprint 17th and with Alexandre Dumond and Dave Endleman 12th relay place. It was also the Canadian championships , in which Hurley was sixth in all three races. In the 2009/10 Biathlon NorAm Cup she was 19th overall. At the Canadian Championships 2010 in Canmore, three top ten placements were again added.

After completing her studies, she worked in sports management at the University of Alberta, then at the Chelsea Nordiq Ski Club and then as an event coordinator in the sports department of the University of the Fraser Valley , where she is now Associate Director of Athletics . She lives in Abbotsford .
