Jacqueline Akerman (born June 7, 1976 ) is a Canadian biathlete and biathlon trainer.

Jacqueline Akerman lives in Camrose and has been involved in biathlon since 1994. She is a member of the Camrose Ski Club and the Augustana Ski Team . For the team at the University of Alberta in Camrose, she worked for ten years from 1999 to 2009, initially as an assistant coach, and after three and a half years as head coach. Before that, she coached the Saskatchewan Province biathlon team as assistant to Paul Dorotich . In 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 she looked after the Canadian teams at the Winter Universiades . In the 2005/06 season she also looked after the Canadian biathletes at the seventh World Cup station in Pokljuka and at the 2006 European Biathlon Championships in Langdorf . In 2005 she was named Canadian Biathlon Trainer of the Year.

As an active Akerman did not make the breakthrough in her initially active time between 1994 and 1998. She was a member of the Saskatchewan Provincial Team and took part in the 1995 Canadian Winter Games. Even during her coaching time, she continued to actively participate in races and achieved her greatest success at the North American Championships in the 2008 Summer Biathlon in Canmore . In the sprint race she won the silver medal behind Annik Levesque .
