List of Canadian Biathletes of the Year

The list of Canadian Biathletes of the Year lists all biathletes who have won awards since the award was introduced in 1993, as well as the Trainer of the Year.

The award is given annually for the past season. Most award-winning athletes are Zina Kocher and Robin Clegg , each with three titles, and the trainers Sandrine Charron with four titles. There are several double title holders among the male coaches.

In addition to athletes and coaches of the year, who can also come from the junior sector, other awards are presented

  • Myriam Bédard Award: the award is given for special dedication and commitment to improving the sport of biathlon in Canada; it can be given to athletes, coaches or officials. It is named after the Olympic champion and therefore the most successful Canadian biathlete, Myriam Bédard .
  • Ruedi Setz Memorial Award: the award is given to the person who has made the most significant contribution to Canadian biathlon during the season
  • June Hooper Memorial Award: the award is given to people who have made a sustainable contribution to the development of biathlon. It was named after the founder of the Canadian biathlon sport, June Hopper .

The Official of the Year Award has only been given once in 2008.
