Claude Mireille Godbout (born June 18, 1986 in Québec ) is a former Canadian biathlete and cross-country skier .

Claude Godbout has been cross-country skiing since she was six. She competed for the Skibec Nordique club . In December 2003 she made her debut in Calgary in a 5-kilometer race in the Continental Cup and was 23rd. A season later, she competed in the Nor-Am Cup, where she achieved her best result in seventh in a 5-kilometer race in Gatineau . In 2004 and 2005 she started at the Canadian Championships, but never came in the top ten. For the 2005/06 season Godbout switched to biathlon.

Godbout starts in the biathlon for Courcellette and is trained by Jean Paquet . She lives in Québec but trains at the national biathlon training center in Valcartier . Already at the end of her first season she entered the Junior World Championships in Presque Isle and reached the best result of the Canadian starters as 28th in the individual, 33rd in the sprint and 32nd in the pursuit. Since the 2006/07 season she has also competed in the Junior European Cup, but without achieving any notable placements. The 2007 Junior World Championships in Martell brought the best result a seventh place with the Canadian relay. She was also runner-up in the pursuit race at the 2007 Canadian Championships in Charlo . The highlight of the 2007/08 season was the 2008 European Biathlon Championships in Nové Město na Moravě , where Godbout was 48th in the individual, 54th in the sprint and 40th in the pursuit. With the season she also came in eleventh place. In 2008, she also competed in the European Biathlon Cup for the first time and was placed 19th in a pursuit in Cesana San Sicario for the first time in the top 20. The North American Roller Ski Biathlon Championships 2008 in Canmore brought fourth place in the individual and eighth place in the sprint and pursuit. After Godbout failed to qualify for the 2009 Biathlon World Championships in Pyeongchang , she won the oldest cross-country skiing competition in North America, the 10 km race for the Coupe Lévis -Mirepoix in her home town of Saint-Jean, while preparing for the IBU Cup at the end of January -Chrysostome . In the 2009/10 season she won her first race in the Biathlon NorAm Cup in La Patrie with a sprint and a pursuit race . The 2010 North American Biathlon Championships in Fort Kent were also successful , in which Godbout was the only well-known Canadian to take part , winning silver in sprint and pursuit behind Tracy Barnes-Coliander and just missing out on another medal in the mass start in fourth place. In the middle of the 2010/11 season , the Canadian made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup in Presque Isle and was 54th in her first sprint, the subsequent pursuit she finished in 50th place. In Fort Kent, she achieved her best sprint placement on a 48th Improve rank.

Godbout is in a relationship with the Canadian biathlete Marc-André Bédard .
