Alexandre Edouard "Alex" Dumond (born August 7 in Ottawa ) is a Canadian biathlete .

Alexandre Dumond lives in Kingston . He has a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Queen's University and works as a sales representative. He has been competing for Biathlon Ontario since 2005 , having previously tried the No. 51st Air Cadet Squadron in Ottawa in the sports of soccer and hockey.

Dumond started at the North America Championships in the 2008 Summer Biathlon in Canmore and was 15th of the individual and 18th of the sprint and pursuit on roller skis . This was followed by the North American Biathlon Championships 2009 in Valcartier , in which Dumond with Dave Endleman and Alicia Hurley was Ontario's 12th mixed relay. He took part in the Winter Universiade 2009 in China and came in sprint, pursuit and individual in the top 40. At the North America Championships in the summer biathlon 2010 again in Canmore, Dumond reached ninth place in the sprint in the roller ski races and was sixth of persecution. In the cross-country competitions he did not start in the sprint despite reports and was then the only starter in the pursuit, which he won and was North American champion.
