Alicia McConnell (* 1962 ) is a former American squash player .

Career

Alicia McConnell was active on the WSA World Tour in the 1980s . She reached her highest position in the world rankings with rank 14.

At the Pan American Games in 1995 she won the silver medal with the team, in the individual she secured bronze. With the US national team she took part in the World Cup in 1983 , 1987 , 1990 and 1996 . In individual, she was three times in the main field of the World Cup between 1983 and 1990. In 1987 she achieved her best result with the third round. She was American champion seven times in a row from 1982 to 1988 . In 1993 she ended her active career.

Immediately afterwards, she became tournament director of the competition in New York City , which she renamed the Carol Weymuller Open , and she also became the national coach of the US women's junior team. Since 1998 she has worked as a trainer and coordinator for the United States Olympic Committee . In 2000 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the US Squash National Association .
