Aline Hirsch

Aline Hirsch (born July 13, 1988 in Karl-Marx-Stadt , today Chemnitz) is a German basketball player .

Athletic career

Her athletic training began at the TSV Flöha sports club under the supervision of Andreas Beck. Later, her mentor was Andreas Kretzschmar when she moved to Chemnitz to what was then the BG Chemnitz association . She also attended the sports high school in Chemnitz , but graduated from the MS Gablenz.

In the Guard position, she played for the German U-16 and U-18 national team from 2003 to 2006. She won several titles in the youth field as German champion and runner-up. She also took part in the 2004 World Schools in Brazil and the European Junior Championships.

On September 25, 2004, at the age of 16, she had her first assignment in the ChemCats Chemnitz professional team in the 2nd DBBL in the game against BG Zehlendorf and in the same year became German champions with the Basketgirls Chemnitz (U20). In the next season Aline Hirsch moved to the league competitor Burgaupark Ladybaskets of TuS Jena and became one of the biggest pillars in the team. After only one season, Hirsch returned to the promoted ChemCats Chemnitz and played there in 2006/2007 in the 1st Bundesliga.

In the summer of 2019, Hirsch got her Trainer B license and returned to Chemnitz as a young performance trainer. Since then she has been a full-time trainer at her former youth club, the Chemcats Chemnitz.
