Alison Wright (athlete)
Alison Wright (born December 1, 1949 ) is a former New Zealand - British middle and long distance runner .
Starting for New Zealand, she was sixth over 1500 m at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in 1978 and reached the semi-finals over 800 m . In 1979 she was fifth in the 1500 m at the World Cup in Athletics in Montreal .
At the World Cross Country Championships in 1981 she came 95th for Scotland starting.
In 1977 and 1978 she was New Zealand champion over 1500 m. In 1981 she became the Scottish Cross Country Champion and English Indoor Champion and Scottish Champion over 1500 m.
