Scheme gallery grave - ( French Allée couverte )

The Allée couverte du Bois de Champignolle (also called Dolmen Chene) is a place of worship . It is named after the neighboring farm and is located in the Forêt de Thelle, about 4.0 km northeast of Flavacourt , near Gisors in the Oise department in France .

The gallery grave of the Seine-Oise-Marne culture (SOM culture), discovered in the early 20th century and stripped of all ceiling tiles, is, like all megalithic systems of this culture, divided into an anteroom and main chamber and equipped with the remains of a soul hole . The total length of the plant is about 8.5 m and its width reaches about 1.8 m. Two of the stones show traces of grinding grooves .

The excavation of the Allée couverte yielded trephined skulls, which were also found in other soul holes of the SOM culture .

The menhir of Sérifontaine "la Borne du Bois Madame" stands 900 m above the gallery grave.
