Allan Bushell (born September 4, 1932 in Burnley , † October 12, 2013 in Blackburn ) was an English football player .
Career
Bushell played in Burnley for Wood Top in a Sunday School League , in December 1950 the attacker , who was titled as a "star center forward ", was part of a selection team of the league for a first round match of the Lancashire Youth Cup against the Darwen Youth League . In 1950 he won the Reserve Division with Wood Top and was the top scorer of his team. As a result, Bushell came to Accrington Stanley , for whose reserve team he appeared several times as a goalscorer in the second half of the 1951/52 season. The amateur player finally made his debut in late November 1952 for the first team in the Football League Third Division North as a right winger and scored a goal in a 2-1 win over Rochdale AFC .
By the beginning of January he came to six more competitive appearances, several times as a left winger , including a game in the FA Cup (0-2 against league rivals Mansfield Town ), before Walter Aveyard and then Arnie Darcy were given preference. The last time came in April 1953 to two missions, he left at the end of the season Accrington again, which ended the season in last place in the table and had to stand for re-election to the league.
No other footballing activities are known from Bushell. He died at the age of 81 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital with two children.
