Allan Edward Lard (born August 6, 1866 in Lexington , Kentucky , † January 22, 1946 in Washington, DC ) was an American golfer .
biography
Allan Lard played golf at Columbia Country Club .
At the Olympic Games in 1904 in St. Louis when were the team event only two teams reported. Without further ado, ten players joined together and started as the United States Golf Association . This team, which also included Lard, won the bronze medal. In the individual, however, he was eliminated in the round of 16 against Francis Newton .
Lard was the director of a manufacturing company in Washington, DC and was instrumental in helping the company make steel golf shafts in the late 1920s.
