Allan Trautman

Allan Trautman (born 1955 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American puppeteer and actor.

After high school, Trautman attended Washington University , St Louis, and graduated in physics and theater arts. He made his first appearances as a puppeteer during his studies. He also completed his Master of Fine Arts in acting at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia .

Allan Trautman has been married to Diane Trautman since April 1, 1984 .

Trautman was best known in Germany for the puppet show of the character of Mr. Floppy in the sitcom Auf schlimmer und Eternal . The gray plush bunny Mr. Floppy is the alter ego of the frustrated used car dealer Jack Malloy . The comedian Bobcat Goldthwait gave the doll its charismatic voice in the original English, the German voice actor was Tommi Piper . However, Trautman also had numerous appearances as an actor in constantly changing roles.

Trautman also worked as a puppeteer and coordinator in numerous other films and television series in which puppets or stick figures appeared. Best-known examples are the Muppet Show , Men in Black , Dr. Dolittle and the Greg the Bunny series .
