background
The series consists of a total of 230 episodes. The location was Potsdam-Babelsberg . The series was advertised with the slogan "The Soap with Doctors".
action
The series takes place in the Ziegelhof , a fictional Berlin industrial estate with a dance studio, café, car workshop and a doctor's office. The widowed doctor Dr. Baer returns from the USA and opens a group practice with Dr. Burkhard and Dr. Friday. The two doctors know each other from before and were fighting over the same woman - Dr. Heike Burkhard. In addition to this main storyline, there are others: the Kladow family with the ambitious tyrannical father Ralf, who wants to forbid his son Thorsten to have a relationship with Charlotte; the smart waiter Fritz, who is looking for the love of his life; the former prostitute Tamara, who is overtaken by her past. The series was discontinued with an open end. For example, it remained unclear who Heike's baby is from and whether Sybille and Fritz will get back together.
